All the time now, I see people joking on message boards saying, "Damn you, Michael Bay."

Does anyone know how that got started? Who said it first?

Michael Bay is directing the Transformers live action movie...I'm sure that's where it started...The vehicles aren't really looking so good, in my opinion...Megatron is a huge tank, by the way...

Sounds likes something they might say on PVP though...

It does sound like PvP stuff. I've said it for years...I'm not a huge Bay fan.

I can hear Cole saying that to Brent. In fact, I think he did...must go reread all PvP strips....

There was also a fairly recent scene in Entourage where a movie got screwed because James Cameron backed out and Michael Bay replaced him. And they all hated Michael Bay. It seems everyone hates that guy.

I've done about three minutes worth of research, I could be wrong, but I think I know what it stems from. It wasn't PvP at all. Seems the phrase became popular after certain news leaked about The Island. Drooling geeks began uttering it when they found out Scarlett was willing to go topless but Bay insisted she not for the rating.

Like I said, I could be wrong.

I would just like to Damn him once more: the Transformers have lips. It's creepy.

In old Tranformers news that still bugs me: What do we think of Bumble as a camaro? Is VW still refusing* to let their name be used for a war figure? Was that the deal**? Cause if it was, I'll be more forgiving...but i suspect it was a cool factor.

*back in 2005, they were working on a new toy line. VW said they couldn't use their vehicles in war themed media. The toy was never released, but the design was used in Timelines comic books.

**Of course, VW could dislike Michael Bay too.

Yeah, Michael Bay stays pretty firmly up Jerry Bruckheimer's ass. The duo have been responsible for some of the most rancid shit to come out of Hollywood.
